ReplyDeleteCan't forget about Hastings!
ReplyDeleteChildren of Francis Hastings 2nd Earl of Huntington and Catherine Pole were descendants of both the House of York (through their mother) and the House of Lancaster (through their father). Their youngest Mary was even supposed to be married to Ivan the Terrible.
This will really help with my story for a competition! Thanks :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a very useful set of lists. I use it often in my writing (I am a Tudor Romance novellist: Published) The comment about RALPH not sound ing very Tudor period; Ralph Sadler (pronounced RAFE) was a minister and Privy Councillor under Henry VIII, Edward, Mary and Elizabeth. He was also a protegé of Thomas Cromwell, 1st Earl of Essex. Love your sight. Thanks.
